  • A letter requesting the visa submitted to the consulate or embassy (by an employer and their employee)
  • A replica of the employment agreement or another document of equal value that details your position, pay, tenure, and the scope of your work in the Philippines for the company
  • A photocopy of the most recent income tax return from your employer (ITR)
  • Your Work Permit in Copy
  • Document indicating the number of Filipino and international employees employed by the business
  • A police clearance certificate issued by the local government
  • X-Ray included in a health certificate provided by a licensed medical professional
  • Any additional documentation required by the Philippine Bureau of Immigration, the Embassy, or the Consulate

PROCEDURES TO APPLY FOR A PHILIPPINES WORK VISA

  • In order to obtain a work permit in the Philippines, one must first apply for an AEP that is provided by only Labor and Employment Department.
  • The application can then be submitted in the Philippines by either the appropriate employer or the prospective employee.
  • A 9(g) visa must then be issued to the employee, which the company must sponsor. This application can be made through the Immigration Bureau.
  • The procedure of getting a 9(g)-work visa can take between two and three months to be completed.
